Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients and soften the vanilla ice cream for about 5 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Add the softened ice cream and whole milk to the blender.
  3. Mix in the peppermint extract and powdered sugar.
  4. Add green food coloring if desired, starting with 2-3 drops and adjusting for color.
  5. Blend everything on medium-high speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed. Add more milk if too thick.
  6. Pour into glasses immediately and top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry if desired.
