A quick and elegant cocktail combining fresh strawberries, floral rose syrup, and crisp prosecco for a refreshing and sophisticated party drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons rose syrup (Monin brand recommended)
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled dry or brut prosecco
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup (optional)
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and slice about 1 cup of fresh strawberries. Place them in a mixing pitcher and gently crush with a muddler or wooden spoon to release juices, keeping some texture.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of rose syrup and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to the crushed strawberries. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Taste the mixture and add 1 tablespoon of simple syrup if you prefer it sweeter. Stir gently.
  4. Optionally refrigerate the strawberry mixture for 10-15 minutes to chill.
  5. Slowly pour one 750 ml bottle of chilled prosecco into the pitcher. Stir gently to combine without losing bubbles.
  6. Serve over ice cubes in wine or champagne glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a whole strawberry on the rim.

Notes

Avoid over-muddling strawberries to keep texture. Add prosecco last and stir gently to preserve bubbles. For a smoother drink, strain the mixture before adding prosecco. Keep prosecco chilled until serving. Non-alcoholic version can be made with sparkling water or white grape juice.
