A refreshing and festive sparkling sangria made with dry white wine, fresh citrus, juicy berries, and a splash of sparkling wine for effervescent cheer. Perfect for celebrations and easy to customize for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio recommended)
  • 1 cup sparkling wine or Champagne, chilled
  • 1/2 cup brandy (optional)
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced (Granny Smith recommended)
  • 23 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water, chilled
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash all fresh fruit thoroughly. Thinly slice the orange, lemon, and lime, removing any seeds. Halve the grapes and slice the strawberries and apple.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the dry white wine, brandy, and orange liqueur. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
  3. Whisk honey or agave syrup into the mixture until dissolved.
  4. Add all the sliced fruit to the pitcher and gently stir with a wooden spoon to distribute evenly without bruising the fruit.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight, to allow flavors to infuse.
  6. Just before serving, add the chilled sparkling wine and club soda to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine and keep the fizz.
  7. Pour sangria into glasses filled with large ice cubes or frozen fruit chunks. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of citrus.

Notes

Add sparkling wine and club soda just before serving to keep the fizz lively. Use large ice cubes or frozen fruit chunks to avoid dilution. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute wines and brandy with sparkling white grape juice and a splash of apple cider vinegar. Chill the sangria base for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor infusion.
