A quick and easy no-bake fall snack featuring crisp apple slices drizzled with warm caramel sauce, cinnamon, and topped with nuts and crunchy toppings for a cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium apples (about 1 pound / 450g), thinly sliced with skin on (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • ½ cup (120ml) caramel sauce, warmed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup (30g) chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or sliced almonds), toasted
  • ¼ cup (30g) crunchy topping (pretzel bits, granola, crushed graham crackers, or mini chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Slice them thinly, about ⅛ inch thick, leaving the skin on. Arrange the apple slices evenly in a single layer on a serving platter, slightly overlapping like a fan.
  2. Evenly dust the apple slices with ground cinnamon using fingers or a small sieve.
  3. Pour the caramel sauce into a microwave-safe bowl and warm for about 15 seconds until pourable but not hot. Stir to smooth out any thick spots.
  4. Using a spoon or small ladle, drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the apple slices slowly and evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the toasted nuts and crunchy toppings evenly over the caramel-drizzled apples. Optionally, add a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt on top.
  6. Serve immediately. Optionally, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of Greek yogurt mixed with honey on the side.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith to prevent mushiness. Warm caramel sauce slightly for easy drizzling. Toast nuts to enhance flavor. Serve immediately to avoid apple browning. For prepping ahead, toss apple slices with lemon juice to slow browning. Mix crunchy toppings for varied texture and flavor. Keep napkins handy as caramel can be sticky.
