Cozy Movie Night Snack Board for Two - featured image

A quick and easy snack board perfect for cozy nights, featuring a balanced mix of cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, nuts, and optional charcuterie. Designed for two, it’s a fuss-free way to impress and enjoy shared moments.

Ingredients

  • Sharp cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
  • Soft brie or camembert cheese, sliced
  • Goat cheese, crumbled or in small disks (optional)
  • Assorted crackers (multigrain, water crackers, or preferred brand)
  • Thinly sliced baguette or crusty bread, toasted
  • Seedless grapes or sliced apples
  • Fresh figs or berries (if in season)
  • Roasted almonds or walnuts
  • Olives (green or black, pitted)
  • Honey or fig jam
  • Thin slices of prosciutto or salami (optional)
  • Fresh herb sprigs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish
  • Olive oil (optional, for brushing bread)

Instructions

  1. Remove soft cheeses like brie from the fridge about 20 minutes before serving to soften slightly.
  2. Slice or cube harder cheeses into bite-sized pieces (e.g., cheddar into 1-inch cubes or 1/4 inch thick slices).
  3. Slice baguette thinly (about 1/4 inch thick), brush lightly with olive oil if desired, and toast in a 375°F (190°C) oven for about 7 minutes until golden and crisp.
  4. Spread crackers and toasted baguette slices evenly on the board, leaving space for other ingredients.
  5. Distribute cheeses evenly across the board, placing soft cheeses in small piles or disks and firm cheese cubes or slices nearby. Add small spreaders next to soft cheeses.
  6. Wash and dry grapes, slice apples into thin wedges (toss with lemon juice to prevent browning), and arrange alongside cheeses. Place figs or berries in small clusters.
  7. Fill small bowls or ramekins with olives, nuts, and honey or fig jam, and position them in gaps between cheeses and breads.
  8. If using charcuterie, fold slices loosely and tuck them into open spaces on the board.
  9. Garnish the board with fresh herb sprigs and drizzle a bit of honey over soft cheeses or fruit just before serving.

Notes

Prepare cheeses ahead but assemble the board within 30 minutes of serving to keep crackers crisp and cheeses fresh. Toast bread just before assembling to avoid sogginess. Soft cheeses should be left out to soften before serving. Use lemon juice on apple slices to prevent browning. Variations include gluten-free crackers, dairy-free cheese alternatives, and seasonal fruit swaps.
