These crispy everything bagel deviled eggs combine creamy yolk filling with a crunchy, toasty everything bagel seasoning topping for a quick, easy, and addictive snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp everything bagel seasoning, plus extra for sprinkling
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional vibrant toppings: thinly sliced chives or green onions, pickled jalapeño slices or diced pickles, smoked paprika dusting, radish slices or microgreens

Instructions

  1. Place 6 large eggs in a single layer in a pot and cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat, then immediately cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and chill for at least 5 minutes. Gently tap each egg on the counter and peel under running water to remove shells smoothly.
  3. Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until fine and crumbly.
  4. Add 3 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, and 2 tsp everything bagel seasoning to the yolks. Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Using a piping bag or spoon, fill the egg white halves generously with the yolk mixture, creating a slight swirl or peak for texture.
  6. Sprinkle extra everything bagel seasoning on top. Garnish with your choice of vibrant toppings such as chives, pickled jalapeños, radish slices, or smoked paprika.
  7. Optional: Place the filled eggs on a baking sheet and set under a preheated broiler on high for 1-2 minutes until edges start to crisp and brown. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  8. Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 15 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and fillings firm up slightly.

Notes

Use older eggs for easier peeling. Mash yolks thoroughly for smooth filling. The broiler step adds a delightful crunch but can be skipped. If filling is too dry, add more mayonnaise or a splash of milk; if too wet, add breadcrumbs or extra yolk. Watch broiler carefully to avoid burning.
