A quick and easy 5-minute dessert featuring creamy cheesecake dip topped with caramel and toffee bits, served with fresh apple slices. Perfect for fall gatherings, parties, or a simple sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • ¼ cup toffee bits
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt (optional)
  • 34 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), for serving

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  2. Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for about 1 minute until smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  3. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix on low speed until incorporated, then increase to medium speed and beat for another 2 minutes until light and creamy.
  4. Add the heavy cream and beat on low until combined, about 30 seconds. The dip should be thick but scoopable. Adjust with more cream or powdered sugar if needed.
  5. Gently fold in half of the toffee bits with a spatula. Save the rest for topping.
  6. Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a serving bowl and spread into an even layer. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top in a zigzag pattern.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining toffee bits over the caramel. Add flaky sea salt if desired.
  8. Just before serving, core and slice the apples into wedges. Toss in cold water with lemon juice to prevent browning if not serving immediately.
  9. Arrange apple slices around the dip bowl on a platter and serve immediately. The dip is best served cold.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat block cream cheese and let it soften properly. Chill the serving bowl for 15 minutes before assembling to keep the dip firm. Slice apples just before serving to prevent browning. The dip can be made ahead (without toppings) and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add caramel and toffee just before serving. For a warm version, bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes.
