A quick and easy tiramisu dessert made with just five simple ingredients, perfect for last-minute treats or casual entertaining. Creamy, light, and rich in flavor without the fuss of traditional tiramisu.

  • 8 oz (227 g) mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp instant espresso powder
  • About 20 ladyfingers (or sponge cake cubes)
  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Dissolve 2 tablespoons of instant espresso powder in ½ cup (120 ml) of hot water. Stir well and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a chilled bowl, whip 1 cup (240 ml) of heavy whipping cream with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. In another bowl, combine 8 oz (227 g) mascarpone cheese and ½ cup (100 g) sugar. Stir gently until smooth and creamy.
  4. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture using a spatula, preserving the airy texture.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee soak for 1-2 seconds to avoid sogginess. Place a soaked ladyfinger at the bottom of each serving cup.
  6. Spoon a generous layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfinger. Repeat layers if cups are tall enough, finishing with cream on top.
  7. Refrigerate the cups for at least 1-2 hours to let flavors meld and the cream set.
  8. Just before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder using a sifter for an even finish.

Notes

Use a cold bowl and beaters for whipping cream to achieve better volume. Fold whipped cream gently into mascarpone to keep the filling light. Dip ladyfingers quickly to avoid sogginess. Chill at least 1 hour for best flavor and texture. For gluten-free, substitute ladyfingers with almond flour ladyfingers or gluten-free sponge cake. For dairy-free, use coconut cream and vegan cream cheese alternatives.
