A quick and festive dessert featuring white chocolate, crushed Oreos, and red and blue candies, perfect for summer celebrations and patriotic parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340g) white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1520 Oreo cookies, crushed into chunks
  • 1 cup red and blue candies (e.g., red M&Ms, blue sprinkles, candy-coated chocolates)
  • 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries (optional)
  • 1/4 cup white sprinkles or nonpareils (optional)
  • 1 tbsp (14g) butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a rimmed 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Place Oreo cookies in a large zip-top bag and gently crush with a rolling pin or heavy pan, reserving about 1/4 cup for topping.
  3. Melt white chocolate chips and butter (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring after each until smooth, or melt over a double boiler.
  4. Fold most of the crushed Oreos into the melted white chocolate until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch (6mm) thickness.
  6. Sprinkle reserved Oreos, red and blue candies, freeze-dried strawberries, and white sprinkles evenly over the top and press gently to adhere.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until firm.
  8. Lift the bark out using the parchment paper edges and break into irregular pieces to serve.

Notes

Heat white chocolate slowly and stir often to avoid seizing. Ensure all utensils and bowls are dry. Press toppings gently into melted chocolate before chilling. Warm knife under hot water and dry before cutting for clean breaks.
