A quick, no-cook breakfast that tastes like dessert. Creamy oats, juicy peaches, and warm spices come together in a jar for a comforting, make-ahead meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • 1 can (15 oz or 425g) sliced peaches in juice, drained (reserve 2 tablespoons juice)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (25g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: chopped pecans or walnuts, honey, extra cinnamon, whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Drain the peaches, reserving 2 tablespoons of juice. Dice half the slices if desired.
  2. In a small bowl, mix rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl or measuring cup, whisk together milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and reserved peach juice until smooth.
  4. Layer the oat mixture and peaches in a jar, starting and ending with oats.
  5. Pour the wet mixture over the layers. Tap the jar gently to release air bubbles.
  6. Stir gently to distribute liquid, leaving some distinct layers.
  7. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  8. Serve cold or warm (microwave 45-60 seconds). Add toppings as desired.

Notes

For best texture, use rolled oats (not quick or steel-cut). The oats taste even better on day 2-3. If too thick, add a splash of milk before serving. Do not freeze.
