  • Vegetable sticks (cucumber, carrot, or bell pepper strips)
  • Whole grain mini rice cakes or puffs (optional)
  • Hummus or mild yogurt dip (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the turkey: Lay out thin slices on a cutting board. Cut into bite-sized strips or fun shapes if needed (about 3 minutes).
  2. Cut cheese into small cubes or thin strips. If using cottage cheese, blend 1/4 cup (60 ml) until smooth for spreading (3-4 minutes).
  3. Wash and slice fruits and veggies. Slice apples or grapes into halves or quarters to avoid choking hazards. Cut veggies into thin sticks or small pieces (about 5 minutes).
  4. Arrange the bento box: Place turkey slices in one section, cheese cubes or spread in another, and crackers in a third. Fill remaining sections with fruit and veggie pieces. Add a small dip container if using hummus or yogurt.
